Statistic published by DOSH shows that the rate of fatalities in construction industry has been increasing at an alarming rate (14.94 per 100,000 workers) in 2017 due to lack of safety and health design considerationat the early stage of construction projects. To improve this situation, DOSH Malaysia has developed Guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health in Construction Industry (Management) 2017 or OSHCIM which is based on “Safe by Design” concept and OSHCIM regulation which will be gazzeted soon.
