LIST OF TRAINING

INTRODUCTION:

The course will benefit the personnel involved in construction industry. It provides the awareness and understanding of the Guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health in Construction Industry (Management) 2017 or OSHCIM that has been recently introduced by Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia (DOSH), It also provides the understanding, knowledge and awareness of the OSHCIM concept that based on prevention through design (PtD) principles, what the duty holders need to do and how they are involved in management of risk of a construction project. This course is important to enable the trainers that will train the duty holders to prepare them towards the implementation of OSHCIM to reduce accidents in construction industry.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Learn and understand the risk management principles in OSHCIM.
  • Learn and understand the design risk management in a construction project as outlined by OSHCIM.
  • Learn and understand the methodology in design risk management that is based on design reviews (DRRULE-1, DRRULE-2 and DRRULE-3).
  • Understand types of the design reviews to be performed and their design considerations to be taken into account.
  • Gain a hands-on experience in conducting the design reviews and how and where to record them (OSHCIM documentations).

  • Learn and understand the OSHCIM concept that is based on prevention through design (PtD)
  • Understand who they are (which duty holders they were categorized as) based on OSHCIM Guidelines 2017.
  • Understand and able to identify their roles and responsibilities as duty holders in construction industry.
  • Learn and understand the OSHCIM documentation to be acquired and distributed that will lead to effective project cooperation coordination.
  • Learn and understand the risk management principles in OSHCIM.
