INTRODUCTION
- Statistic published by DOSH shows that the rate of fatalities in construction industry has been increasing at an alarming rate (14.94 per 100,000 workers) in 2017 due to lack of safety and health design consideration at the early stage of construction projects. To improve this situation, DOSH Malaysia has developed Guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health in Construction Industry (Management) 2017 or OSHCIM which is based on “Safe by Design” concept and OSHCIM regulation will be gazzeted soon. One of the main requirements of OSHCIM regulation is for client to appoint OSHCIM PROFESSIONAL to assist him in designing for OSH and complying with other OSHCIM requirements. Therefore, this competency training will be the golden opportunity for the participant towards becoming a competent OSHCIM PROFESSIONAL.
